Gov Jobs: In a recent decision by the Preliminary Education Committee, 2,239 teaching positions will be created for classes 1 to 8 in Saraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand.
The state government will be sending a proposal for appointment on these newly created posts. In light of the vacancies in various schools of Kharsawan district, the proposal has been made according to the requirement of students in each class. The decision was unanimously taken at a meeting held by the commission on Monday, chaired by DC Arwa Rajkamal. The meeting saw the participation of various officials and representatives, including Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly.
In discussions during the meeting, committee members looked into proposals from various schools and also discussed ways to eliminate any discrepancies in them. DC Arwa Rajkamal informed the press that increasing the emphasis on preliminary education and addressing the shortage of teachers in various schools led to the creation of these 2,239 new posts. Earlier, there were only 1,452 teachers for classes 1 to 8, which was inadequate according to the student population. This resulted in a shortage of teachers in many schools. With the creation of these new positions, the total number of teaching positions will rise to 3,691, which will now meet the requirement of students in each class. DC Arwa Rajkamal also informed that the number of teaching positions was created according to the student count and their requirements.
In the past, there were cases where schools had more students than the required limit for one teacher. This situation will now be rectified with the creation of new teacher positions. The appointment of these new teachers will ensure that each teacher will be responsible for a reasonable number of students that conform to the government's criteria. Once the appointments are made, the shortage of teachers in various schools in Saraikela-Kharsawan district will be addressed.
