Maharashtra HSC Result 2026 Declared: 89.79% Students Pass Class 12 Exams

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the HSC Class 12 Results 2026 today, May 2. The overall pass percentage stands at 89.79%. Results were announced at a press conference at 11 AM, and scorecards became available on the official website from 12 noon onwards.

Girls outperformed boys this year with a pass percentage of 93.15%, compared to 86.80% for boys. This means girls led by 6.35 percentage points. A total of 15,32,487 students had registered for the exam across Science, Arts, Commerce, Vocational, and ITI streams.

Among the nine divisional boards, Konkan emerged as the top performer with a pass percentage of 94.14%. Latur recorded the lowest pass percentage at 84.14%. The nine divisions where exams were conducted include Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan.

The pass percentage this year is lower compared to 91.88% in 2025 and 93.37% in 2024. In 2023 it was 91.25%, in 2022 it was 94.22%, and in 2020 it was 90.66%. The 2021 figure of 99.63% was an exception due to COVID-19.

To pass, students must score at least 35% in both theory and practical components. Those who fall short are eligible to appear for compartment exams. The board does not release a topper or merit list.

To check results, visit the official website, click on View HSC Result, enter your roll number and mother's name, and submit. Results can also be accessed through DigiLocker using your school code, roll number, and 6-digit security PIN.
